Here is a recipe for a creamy and spicy soup for all who are in need of a bit of that warm belly feeling.  It’s so easy to assume that comfort food equals unhealthy but homemade soups like this will quickly prove you wrong.

Spicy Cauliflower & Parsnip Soup

  • 1 Head Cauliflower Small
  • 1 Parsnip Medium
  • 1 Onion Diced
  • 1 Tsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 Tsp Curry powder
  • 1 Tsp Paprika
  • 500 ml Water
  • 100 ml Almond milk Unsweetened


  • Heat the oil in a medium pan and add the onion, cauliflower florets and sliced parsnip. Cook on a low heat until beginning to soften.
  • Add the spices followed by the water and almond milk. Cook until all the vegetables are done (approximately 10 minutes).
  • Pour the contents of the pan into a blender and blend until smooth.
