Exercise: every little counts, so let’s get moving
I guess Christmas for most people is the time to enjoy treats or ease up on exercise routines (if you have such a thing). But rather than kicking your exercise habit in favour of mince pies and sherry, why not include a few little moves into your holiday season. Below are some easy examples of what you can do and some of those can even be done in the comfort of your home. So, let’s get moving.
- Do 10 squats everytime you boil the kettle for a cup of tea or coffee.
- Get your heart rate up by dancing around the Christmas tree.
- Start with e.g. 20 seconds of plank and work up until you can hold it for a whole minute.
- Go for a walk in nature – connecting with the outdoors is good for your health and good for the soul.
